Laura is delighted to return to the role of Hermia for Quotidian Theatre Company's charming re-imagining of the character as Margaret Montbrook for their "Irish Twist on William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream." The show, which will feature live Irish music and dance alongside of Shakespeare's classic text, runs from July 25th through August 12th at the Randolph Road Theater. The Maine Chapter of the Jane Austen Society of North America has invited Laura to perform her one-woman show based on the life of Jane Austen, Miss Austen at Home, for their regional meeting in Portland on September 8th. Laura has combined her love of theatre with her love of history and literature to create historic character portrayals that are sure to entertain and inform! For each of the fascinating women she impersonates, Laura has researched and written a one-woman show that can be tailored to fit the needs of your group or class.

Entities for whom Laura has performed in the past include The Daughters of the American Revolution, The Swan’s Island Educational Society, and The Jane Austen Society of North America.

The women whose stories Laura has chosen to tell range from very well known figures such as Charlotte Brontë to figures like First Lady Louisa Catherine Adams, whose extraordinary adventures are often overlooked by the history books!
